On Saturday, CHFK made a $3500 donation to YMCA Camp Mason. This donation will provide much needed assistance to families who would like to send their child to camp.

The camp was founded in 1900 by a YMCA volunteer and remains the third oldest operating youth camp in the US. Always in New Jersey, in 1956 the camp moved to a 600 acre site in northwest NJ adjacent to what would become in 1965 the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. The camp is open all year round and takes mores than 14,000 boys and girls camping every year!

Now in it’s 108th year Camp Mason’s mission is still providing a unique environment for kids to grow, promoting confidence, creativity, and a sense of sharing, while giving them an outdoor learning experience and a chance to make new friends.

Tom Mason and John grew up together, went to the same schools and played football together in high school. Now all these years later they come together again, both trying to help kids. Tom is honoring the legacy of his Father, Ralph, at YMCA Camp Ralph Mason and John our daughter with Christine’s Hope. Giving kids the chance to just be kids. We are honored to be part of Camp Mason and send kids to this great place!!!
