It gives us great pleasure to acknowledge Patrick Alford as the third recipient of the “Christine’s Hero” award. Patrick is starting his Senior year at the Pennington School, in Pennington, New Jersey.
Thomas E. Liwosz, Dean of Community Life at the Pennington School nominated Patrick and believes that he is a wonderful candidate to be a “Christine’s Hero”.
Patrick singularly organized a textbook drive that provided over 1000 used textbooks for Catholic Relief Services. He not only organized this effort, but he contacted the schools, collected and boxed the books and arranged for them to be sent to Honduras. He spent countless hours of this own time in an effort to help less fortunate school children.
His commitment to helping others is a great example how just one person can have an affect on the rest of the world. He is a kind, considerate and well-respected young man among his peers and faculty alike.
Patrick is another example of ordinary people doing extraordinary things!!! Congratulations Patrick.
