Justin Friedman, a 6th grade student at Pennwood Middle School in Yardley, PA, where he is a very good student and citizen has been selected as this month’s “Christine’s Hero” award recipient. Justin was instrumental in selling over 600 bracelets for Christine’s Hope for Kids. His Pennsbury LL All Star team raised $800 for our foundation. We then added to their donation and together we donated $2500 to the Miracle League in Hamilton, New Jersey. This is a field designed specifically for handicapped children and kids with special needs so they too can play baseball. Justin is an avid golfer, Christine’s favorite sport, and he already has had a Hole in One. He belongs to Congregation Kol Emet Synagogue and has collected new and gently used children’s books on Mitzvah (Good Deed) Day which will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Trenton. He plans on collecting baseball equipment next year for his Bar Mitzvah project and donating the equipment through Christine’s Hope.
Justin was Christine’s cousin and her foundation means so much to him. He has learned many valuable lessons about caring for those who are less fortunate and the importance of giving back. These experiences are ones that will follow him throughout his lifetime and we know that Christine will always be beside him and guiding him along the journey. Justin is another great example of an ordinary kid doing extraordinary things by kids helping kids.
Congratulations Justin!!!
