John is a 5th grade student at West Amwell Elementary School, in West Amwell, NJ.
He is a great student. John is a junior member of two volunteer fire companies, where he helps with dinners, flower sales, and any other task asked of him. He looks forward to turning 16 when he can become a Junior Fire Fighter, and EMT. John is a member of the Mt. Airy Dairy Club. Through 4-H his community service involves taking care of the Hunterdon Fair Grounds, and teaching children about dairy cows. Last year John received two Master Showman Awards. John also volunteers for Juvenile Diabetes. John helps set up and breakdown for Walks that raise money for diabetes research and education.
This summer he will be going to France and England with People to People as a Student Ambassador. People to People was founded by Dwight D. Eisenhower because he believed
that through people, not governments, world peace would come. While in France and England John and his group will perform community service that will leave a positive impression of the United States with the people they visit and assist. John is looking forward to representing his State and his Country. He plans on packing his t-shirt for Christine’s Hope for Kids.
John also loves to play baseball, football, and wrestle. John is that young man that holds the door for you. He always has a smile on his face, and a hand extended to help do whatever he can.
John is another example of a great kid who understands the importance of giving back and that’s why we are so proud to name him as our newest Christine’s Hero.
