The Christine’s Hope for Kids Community Service Club at Hopewell Valley Regional High School recently visited the Pennington campus of Capital Health Hospital. The girls, along with school Principal Mr. Michael Daher and adviser Mrs. Heather Rich, were given a wonderful, informative tour of the facility by the staff. It was interesting to learn how Capital Health incorporated much of the history of the old Mercer Hospital into the new design.
Our club which meets every Thursday at the school, assembled 100 care bags to present to the Pediatric Department. The bags have coloring books, crayons, and a teddy bear to comfort sick and injured kids who arrive at the hospital.
We thank Ms. Lauren Levine, Executive Director of Development for Capital Health for inviting us to visit, and the staff for their hospitality to us during our tour.
