I was asked to speak last week at the Hammock Pointe Elementary School National Honor Society ceremony. I was honored and thrilled to be there. I had known most of these wonderful students for three years and now they were moving to middle school so it was bittersweet. I have worked with the students on a few projects over the last few years. I have been so impressed at their willingness to serve others, their leadership qualities and their kindness. They are great kids who will go on to be leaders in their communities. We were proud to present the school with a certificate of our appreciation.

Under the direction of teacher Mrs. Lisa Kaputa, the Honor Society holds a Mother’s Day flower sale. The past two years they have donated the funds to Christine’s Hope. This year was a record!!! The students raised $657. Mrs. Kaputa said they were very eager knowing we were going to match their funds. This year a $1500 donation will be given to Camera’s for Kids in Boca Raton. Thank you Hammock Pointe Elementary for partnering with CHFK to help kids in need in your community!
