At Christine’s Hope for Kids, we have always wished to have a music club. We feel there are many talented children out there who do not have an outlet for their creativity. The club will be an opportunity for them to explore and develop that talent while keeping them off the streets where trouble often ensues. It will also help promote self-esteem, confidence and teamwork. But, we needed funds to start this project to hire teaching staff/coaches, secure a meeting location, equipment, uniforms/costumes, etc.

Last spring, we were humbled to receive $28,500 from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation President’s Grant Fund of the Princeton Area Community Foundation to start our music club!

Now the real work begins. We will be partnering with the Trenton YMCA under the direction of Sam Frisby and launching this program in January. Kids will come to the YMCA two times a week to learn music, study, grow and have FUN. We just cannot wait to see where this newest adventure takes us!
